From Student Adventures to Cultural Curiosity
I’ve been working in travel since 2008, building a career around one thing: creating meaningful, transformational experiences. I started out with two global giants, Flight Centre and STA Travel, working primarily with student and young adult travelers. But it was after moving into a role with Global Leadership Adventures, a high school travel program focused on cultural immersion and leadership, that I truly found my footing. Their emphasis on values-driven, meaningful travel felt far more aligned with my own. After years of helping clients tick off destinations, I was drawn to the idea of helping young people engage deeply with the places they visited. It wasn’t just about going somewhere, it was about growing somewhere.
Those years solidified something for me: I love working with people at transitional moments in life. For students, travel often marks their first step into the world outside school. It can be messy, thrilling, and overwhelming. My role wasn’t to keep them from making mistakes, but to guide them with just enough structure so they could explore boldly and come back changed. I loved the attention to detail, the conversations with families, and the joy of watching students return home lit up with new confidence. That foundation has carried into everything I do today.

Creating Travel That Aligns with Your Values
By 2014, I knew I wanted to offer travel that wasn’t about volume or trends, but about connection. I wasn’t interested in selling mass-market packages or cruise deals. I wanted to design trips that felt human, honest, and grounded in culture. So I launched Ask Ros, She Travels, built on the belief that your itinerary should reflect your pace, your passions, and your personality.
Since then, I’ve helped clients discover the world in ways that are more immersive, more meaningful, and more aligned with who they are. My goal has always been to make the planning process feel as rewarding as the journey itself, through thoughtful conversations, intuitive logistics, and a deep respect for what makes each traveler unique.

Adventures Don't Have an Age Limit
My specialty today is supporting older adults and travelers with accessibility needs, helping them see the world with confidence. That shift began in 2025, when my dad visited me in the U.S. for the very first time since I moved here in 2009. We had a whirlwind four-week trip planned, but early on, his partner hurt her knee, and everything had to change. I quickly reworked the entire itinerary, transforming what could’ve been a game-changing disruption into something only a Travel Godmother could do. Through thoughtful logistics, attention to detail, and some masterfully scheduled rest and medical care, the joy of travel was never lost. If anything, it reminded me that meaningful travel isn’t about how much you can cram in, it’s about how you feel while you’re doing it.
That experience showed me how overlooked senior and disabled travelers often are in the industry. That experience showed me how overlooked senior and disabled travelers often are in the travel industry. Not every traveler wants to (or can) join a group tour, that despite being marketed to seniors, is still too fast-paced. And not everyone fits the cruise mold either. What’s missing is flexibility, cultural immersion, and travel that’s truly enriching and fun.
While I don’t have kids of my own, I often say my youngest is 12 and my eldest is 74—referring to my youngest niece and my dad. I’m a proud Aunty, traveling from the US to Australia as often as 3-times a year sometimes, and I bring the same family value to my work. Whether you travel with me or I support you behind the scenes, my goal is the same: to treat you like family.
Because you deserve to travel the world your way, at your pace, in your style, and with all the magic intact.
